A new location in China opened in 2007 and is the most modern production plant worldwide.
To achieve the worldwide No.1 share in EDM, Sodick decided to build a new factory in Amoy (Xiamen), China. Amoi, where a number of foreign capital companies are expanding their business, would be Sodick's new strategic point to accomplish the goal.
Now, Sodick has 4 production bases; Fukui in Japan, Bangkok in Thailand, the Suzhou factory in China and the new Amoy facility to respond to worldwide demand.
Within 3 years, target production volume of 1,500 units per year will be achieved. In total, the output of all Sodick factories combined will then reach 5,500 units.
